Just a quick update to say all is well! Elan doing grand and had a great day with Jennifer our super awesome Physical Therapist that comes to the house as the highlight! She was thrilled to see how well Elan is doing - I was so looking forward to her seeing this! He is cruising around his train table like a crazy man!
On a down note - the kid is not sleeping enough!!! What is the deal??? All I can say is how grateful I am that this is a top concern today! Good to just feel like a normal mommy. He does have rather borderline hemoglobin right now - 8.4 which we of course want to get up. We are still waiting to hear from our oncologist as to all of the options for open trials so we have to be super careful as to what we give him. One has Epo shot (a blood booster) as a disqualification within a specific timeframe so once we hear back we will give him that ASAP which will help with his energy big time. Otherwise he is a healthy pumpkin!
One thing I wanted to mention is a great non profit organization I found out about recently called Peach NEET Feet. This gal gives kids with cancer and other similar diagnosis’s a pair of shoes with personalized art - how NEET, right? I just love the idea, right? We already hooked Elan up!
