Kicked Out of HOSPICE!!!

So there are things in life you don't want to get kicked out of but then there are others all you can hope and dream for is to be kicked out of it - well last week we were told Elan doesn't qualify for Hospice as of right now!  Our dear nurse Stephanie stopped by and took one look at him and could see the obvious improvement from the Proton Beam and said he shouldn't be in it anymore!  How great, right?  We really feel that the Proton Beam did more than what we had hoped and prayed for.  Stephanie's visit just confirmed we are not crazy thinking it made a vast difference.  He is still under Palliative but just the language is much nicer, right?  Just with his prognosis it is good for them to still be in our life.

I feel horrible I didn't post earlier - I actually thought I did already but then was told I hadn't - you can see how discombobulated I am.

Things are really great though and we are so enjoying his happy, smiling face.  Finn is really getting back into his own self and not as crazy.  Saturday Erik, Finn and I headed for a few hours of the District Convention in Raleigh as we missed the Charlotte one when we were up in Indiana.  My parents watched Elan and we took Finn as the afternoon was aimed towards 3 to 6 year olds and we just needed an bit of encouragement as well as Finn one on one time so a perfect combination.  Finn was a jewel during the car ride both ways.    Finn was just so good and excited about it all.  We knew that a special DVD was released for his age group as we already had it from my parents - all about Listening and Obeying as well as the belessings recieved when one does so.   After watching it (for the 20th time) he said "i need to pick up my toys more so you don't get hurt Mom".   So adorable to see him WANT to be good.

Yesterday we went on a bike ride to a park and had a nice time - we had to cut it short because of the heat and not wanting Elan to get too hot as he is so sensitive to it right now.  He just LOVES bike rides!  Here are some cute photos:
