Saturday in Dubuque

So we wanted to go out in the ministry and the group meets at 9 AM... we of course didn't get our acts together quick enough but did get to enjoy a few hrs of volunteering.  Cindy has a nice lady she has been having conversations with for a year or so.  I was able to go with her today.  She has a daughter who volunteers with the Peace Corps and went to Afghanistan as a single woman.  She really seems to be a go getter!  The woman really was so kind at the end when she found out about Elan and encouraging.


We ended up at Panera Bread which was fun... pour Jackson has allergies with wheat so not much he could have but he was a trooper.  Hannah and her kiddos there too. When we were getting ready to leave Finn HAD to wear a Viertel outfit - so he matched them.  All the boys looked so cute in matching  argyle sweaters!

We then put Elan down for a good nap back at Cindy and Aaron's while the other boys played a long time outside.  Finn really had a great time and looked up to the three of them for sure!

The Lewis family and friends had a bonfire at the farm - so much fun!  It was great to be able to chat with everyone - just wish we had more time to have more meaningful conversations but only around 3 days.  The food was great too!

They had a kickball game going and Finn really got into it.  Elan LOVED it too.  He would run in our arms and then walk the end - so proud of himself!  See videos...
